Lawrence A. Hamermesh
Lawrence A. Hamermesh is the Ruby R. Vale Professor of Corporate and Business Law at Widener. He is currently on sabbatical from Widener to serve as an attorney-fellow at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Professor Hamermesh received a B.A from Haverford College and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He has been a member and chair of the Council of the Corporation Law Section of the Delaware Bar Association. He was also an elected member of the committee on Corporate Laws of the American Bar Association section of Business Law. He has served on the Board of Directors of ACLU at the state and national levels. Professor Hamermesh teaches and writes extensively in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, business organizations, and professional responsibility.
